The communications ageny schoesslers was founded by Julia Schössler in Berlin in 2011 and grew out of a passion for communication in the digital economy.

Today schoesslers has over 60 employees in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Würzburg and has been part of the Vogel Communications Group since 2016.

The communications agency serves national and international clients from the digital economy and is characterized by individual and strategic communications solutions, a holistic consulting approach, a strong network, and professional event and project management.

Management

Prof. Dr. Julia Schössler

Founder & Managing Director
Julia Schössler is managing partner of the PR and marketing agency schoesslers. After more than ten years of working for companies such as Bertelsmann, T-Online, DoubleClick/Google, United Screen Entertainment and others, she founded the Berlin-based agency in 2011. Today she works with a team of more than 60 employees. schoesslers serves national and international clients from the digital economy, such as Spotify, Pantaflix, Groupon, RMS, and Deutsche Telekom. Vogel Communications Group has been a majority shareholder of schoesslers since 2016. Julia Schössler holds a doctorate in Business Administration and is a professor of Media Management. 

Dr. Jochen Kalka

Managing Director
Since January 1, 2025, Jochen Kalka serves as Managing Director of the communications agency schoesslers, leading the company together with founder Julia Schössler and member of the Executive Board Lucas Neurauter. Prior to this, he had been a key part of the agency’s development as a member of the management team since 2019. Jochen was Editor-in-Chief at Süddeutscher Verlag in Munich for more than 20 years. In this role, he was responsible for titles such as W&V – Werben&Verkaufen, Lead Digital, Media and Marketing, Contactor and Marketing Journal. At Marke 41, he regularly writes a column with which he likes to point out weaknesses in things. But he has also polarized with his latest book, Startup Lie, in which the self-confessed startup fan exposes flawed practices. 

Lucas Neurauter

Chief Growth Officer & Member of the Executive Board
Lucas Neurauter serves as Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and member of the Executive Board at schoesslers since March 2025. He is responsible for the agency’s growth, strategic development, and client consulting. His focus lies on client retention, acquisition, and expanding the range of services. After studying technical journalism and PR in Nuremberg, he started his career as a journalist before transitioning into communications consulting. As a PR manager, he worked with clients such as Froneri Schöller and Nestlé and served as a press contact at international trade fairs like Internorga. His career path also led him to roles as press spokesperson for the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the AMES Foundation. Most recently, as Director Growth & Communications, he was responsible for the growth of a leading communications agency. In addition to his role at schoesslers, Lucas is a member of the Advisory Board of Carbon Farming Germany. With his expertise in PR, business growth, and strategic communication, he contributes to the agency’s long-term success.
