AMDT Strengthens Its Leadership in Product and Innovation: Dr. Christopher Neumann Appointed Chief Product Officer

Dr. Christopher Neumann will join the Executive Board and assume responsibility for Product, Innovation, and R&D

AMDT, a global provider of OT security and compliance solutions for industrial environments, is expanding its Executive Board: Dr. Christopher Neumann is taking on the role of Chief Product Officer (CPO). In this role, he will be responsible for product, innovation, and R&D. AMDT is thus consolidating key areas—from product strategy to technological implementation—under the responsibility of the Executive Board.

With this new integration, AMDT is strengthening the link between customer needs, market requirements, product strategy, and technological implementation. The goal is to translate innovations into products and features even more quickly and to consistently align the further development of Octoplant and Octovision with the needs of industrial customers.

“Christopher combines a deep understanding of software markets and product strategy with extensive experience in value creation and technological challenges. By placing product, innovation, and R&D under a single umbrella, we are creating a clear link from market requirements to technological implementation. This is an important step toward achieving our growth and innovation goals for Octoplant and Octovision,” says Stefan Jesse, CEO of AMDT.

Neumann is moving from Bain & Company to AMDT, where he most recently served as an associate partner in the Private Equity Group in Munich. There, he advised institutional and strategic investors, as well as portfolio companies in the software sector, on corporate strategy, M&A, product strategy, and value creation, as well as on commercial, operational, and technological issues. A key focus of his work was industrial software and cybersecurity.

At AMDT, Neumann will further develop the product strategy based on a deep understanding of customers and the market and, in collaboration with the Innovation and R&D teams, translate it into technological solutions. He will draw on his experience from numerous strategy and value-enhancement projects, particularly in the areas of product strategy and roadmap development, as well as with regard to the opportunities presented by artificial intelligence.

Neumann studied business administration at the universities of Münster, Zurich, and Mannheim, as well as at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan. He earned his doctorate from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
