Medical Beauty Research Appoints Julia Schwieger as Chief Financial Officer

Julia Schwieger assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer at Medical Beauty Research (MBR02) effective September 1, 2026. She is now responsible for finance, controlling, and corporate development.

MBR – Schwieger comes from companies that have created their own markets, where she worked directly for CEOs and owners. She has extensive experience in building, leading, and strategically managing finance organizations in an international environment. Most recently, she headed the group-level finance function at KONUX, an AI company specializing in rail infrastructure, and prior to that at the Munich-based technology company holoride. At Flix, she led the finance division for the U.S. business and played a key role in organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including the acquisition of Greyhound in the U.S.

What these companies have in common is a business model that puts the customer first and relies on data as a key foundation for decision-making. Schwieger has lived in Germany, Spain, and the United States.

MBR develops and manufactures its products exclusively in Germany and formulates them in collaboration with dermatologists and aesthetic medicine specialists, focusing on the skin’s function. The products are used in medical-aesthetic settings and are distributed in over 30 countries.

“The skin is the cornerstone of health. We’ve based our formulations on this principle ever since the company was founded,” says Stefan Kalmund, CEO of Medical Beauty Research. “Julia Schwieger has worked at companies that have transformed emerging markets into global businesses. This experience is crucial for our next phase.”

“MBR has something money can’t buy: decades of formulation expertise and clients who understand exactly what they’re investing in,” says Julia Schwieger. “In markets that are just emerging, it’s decided early on who will shape them. That’s what I’m working on.”
